Overview of our grading services…

We are 100% dedicated to ensuring every card submitted is given an independent examination by multiple [GGM] certified card graders before a final grade is achieved. This is an unprecedented attempt to correct the human error in card grading and we are extremely proud and humbled to have the opportunity to offer it.

Our grading scale can be defined as “Industry Standard”. We are not attempting to re-create the wheel. Our goal is to maintain the standard while offering the thorough and reliable card grading service our members deserve.

And in detail…

Our grading procedure is meticulous. We guarantee the upmost care and protection of your cards during our grading process.

We record every opening of every submission we receive and our premises is secured by 24 hour video surveillance. We verify every card on the manifest is accounted for before they are authenticated.

As the popularity of the hobby continues to rise, so does the amount of counterfeit cards in circulation. This unfortunate reality is a problem we take very seriously and feel it is the responsibility of G.G.M. and every other grading service to make every effort to help correct.

Once authenticated, portions of this submission are randomly assigned to a certified GGM card grader. They follow a well crafted step by step grading procedure designed to consistently and accurately grade cards in the four standard categories.

Corners – Edges – Surface – Centering

Once their evaluation is completed, their scores are logged internally and the submission is assigned to another grader who repeats the entire process.

Ideally, the two previous graders yielded exactly the same results, and a 3rd grader is not required. In this event, the grading process is complete and no further evaluations are needed.

If even 1 sub grade differs from the other, a third grader is assigned that portion of the submission and will repeat the grading process in it’s entirety.

Final grades are achieved using an in-house formula based on the sub grades received during their separate evaluations. No single card grader decides the final grade of a card.

Once final grades are assigned, the cards are labeled before entering our slabbing process. GGM uses the latest sonic welding technology to seal your cards and protect them in perpetuity.

The [GGM] design team creates one of a kind custom slabs to compliment the color and theme of every card with great care and passion. The time and effort dedicated to our custom slab designs is a reflection of our dedication to quality and service.

Email notifications will be provided every step of the way so you are always aware of it’s progress.
