WHAT WE GRADE

We are currently accepting and grading any standard size hobby card (2.5×3.5 inches) printed after 1999.  We cannot physically slab any card that does not measure to this standard.  This includes minis, thicker relics (thicker cards over 35 pt), box toppers, some die cuts, etc.

We do not authentic or grade autographs. Any autographed cards submitted for grading must be authenticated by the card manufacturer.

There are several reasons why a submitted card may receive a non-gradable designation instead of an actual grade.

  • NG1 – Trimming/Alteration – A Card shows evidence of trimming or alterations.
  • NG2 – Restoration of the stock – This card shows built up stock, in the main of the card or the corners, for example built up corners to repair a soft or damaged corner.
  • NG3 – Recoloration – This card shows that the card’s color has been restored past the factory condition and deems the card ungradable as it is now altered/restored.
  • NG4 – Questionable Authenticity – This designation is for cards that appear counterfeit. The card stock may be too thin, too thick or doesn’t match the quality used from the original factory print. This also includes in person autographs that can’t be deemed authentic.
  • NG5 – Altered Stock – A card that shows signs of restoration in the forms of creases/wrinkles and gloss. May show signs of spooning/flattening of a card, or resurfacing the gloss with a wax/solution that enhances the surface past the original print.
  • NG6 – Under/Oversize – A card is too large or small to be graded under the specifications that were given.
  • NG7 – Cleaning – Evidence of cleaning, such as whitening of borders, removing wax/stains or discoloration with a chemical agent.
  • NG8 – Miscut – An error at the factory makes the card too small to slab securely.

On the rare chance any of these situations present themselves it is [GGM] policy to contact the member.
